First, my family and I want to thank you for another excellent show this year(2002), it was even better than last year. Second, I want to know who in the world claims they waited two to three hours in traffic last year? (No need to really answer that...) My family and I were among the last to leave, and we were home in Chauncey about an hour after the show stopped. I think people who claimed the long wait must have been relying on how long it felt, rather than actually looking at the time. Whatever the wait may have been in traffic for folks, I certainly thought it was well worth it, every time we have attended. We usually wait until after the major traffic has cleared and then zip right on home. It is the least stressful and most economical way to go, plus there is the added bonus of getting to see a few extra fireworks the crew sends up that they have found unused after the show is over.
Anyway, we wanted to let you know how
pleased we are with the current arrangement of having a single larger
show to attend. If for some reason you ever decide to split the
show back up, at least make them on different nights so people can go
to both. I for one don't think you can ever see too many
fireworks. But we would much rather you stick with the current
one large show at the college. We and our friends all think it
is stupendous, just the way it is now.
Sincerely,
Cathy Hoobler

My family and I
attended Thunder in the Valley 2005 while vacationing in Hocking Hills
this past weekend. What a wonderful fireworks display - possibly
the best we've ever seen! I'm sure we'll be back to see it
again.
